COBB Tuning Surgeline is the ultimate import tuning, performance and preparation shop in the Northwest. At COBB Tuning Surgeline, we pride ourselves on being the most knowledgeable and experienced tuning company in the industry. Our staff has over 30 years of combined experience in the performance and repair realms. We are located in the Tualatin area, just north of the Bridgeport mall along the I-5 freeway. We have very close access to a host of restaurants, shopping, outdoor areas and more. Our staff is fully dedicated to providing you with not only an outstanding experience at the time of your visit, but also with trustworthy solutions that you'll be able to count on for the long term. We consider servicing and tuning your vehicle to be a relationship, not merely a transaction, and commit ourselves to providing advice and products that we are proud to stand behind!

We specialize in BMW, Mazda, MINI, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Subaru forced induction performance model vehicles. We invite you to work with our professional tuners and technicians to take your car to the next level! We sell, support and install ALL products offered by COBB Tuning, as well as many other respected brands, such as Tein, Cosworth, Tial, Injector Dynamics, Perrin, Whiteline, Aeromotive, Volk/Rays, Extreme Turbo Systems, Gates, and more. COBB Tuning Surgeline is run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts and we're always happy to offer recommendations or provide input from our years of experience with our personal cars.

We offer all types of mechanical repair and upgrade services, specializing in Subaru STI, WRX and RS, Mitsubishi EVO X, Nissan R35 GTR, BMW 135i/335i/535i, etc. We offer complete in-house dyno tuning (Mustang AWD Dynamometer), engine builds and replacements, head gasket repair for 1.8L, 2.2L and 2.5L N/A Subaru, 30/60/90k factory services, tire/wheel mounting and balancing, clutch replacement and upgrades, race car preparation/maintenance/fabrication, brake pad and rotor replacements and upgrades, customized fuel systems, E85 fuel system conversions, fender rolling and more! Tim Bailey - Retail Manager / Tuner / GTR lead calibrator
Tim Bailey's primary role is directing our retail facilities. Tim's role is to ensure that all our retail customes recive the best experience and value no matter which location they choose. Industry leading customer service falls from Tim's considerable experience as a engine calibrator. Tim still serves a lead role in COBB's GTR calibration Research and Development. Tim has been tuning cars for over a decade and has thousands of tunes to his credit, including top-ranked Solo2, Open Class Rally, Time Attack and SCCA IT race cars. The COBB Tuning Motorsports team dominated the 2010 Redline time attack championships leveraging Tim's calibration expertise to take AWD street and modified class championships including 6 new track records. Most recently Tim worked with LIC motorsports and Gary Sheehan who drove their Modified class Sti to take yet another track record at Infineon raceway in late 2011. Tim's home base is at COBB SurgeLine in portland but you are likely to see Tim at any of the COBB retail locations around the US.

Lance Lucas - General Manager / Tuner / Lead Subaru Calibrator
Lance comes to COBB with a strong formal and automotive educational background, including a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Oregon and Advanced EFI Calibration Certifications from EFI University.  A long-time Subaru enthusiast, Lance built, maintains and tunes his heavily modified 530whp 2004 E85-powered Subaru WRX Wagon and recently added a new 2013 STi to his personal garage.  In addition to his management role at Surgeline, he leads the Subaru Calibration efforts for COBB Tuning and is one of the most thoughtful and thorough tuners in the US.  If you want it done right you can trust Lance’s considerable experience and technical understanding.  Lance is only satisfied if his customers’ expectations are blown away and will go the extra mile to earn your loyalty.

Brandon Lumpkins - Assistant Manager/Build Consultant
Brandon is the Office Manager and Project Build Consultant at COBB Tuning Surgeline and has many years of experience in both retail and business-to-business consultation and sales environments.  If you need to ask technical questions about a project, order a part, schedule a tune or have work done in the shop, Brandon is the man with the plan.  Brandon is a dedicated enthusiast working on the perfect project car of his own, a 2002 Subaru WRX with full 2007 Subaru STI drivetrain swap, and understands the importance of outstanding quality parts at the best price, all delivered in a timely manner.  Looking for that special part or have a fabrication project in mind?  Brandon can find it for you with his network of connections and distributors or work with our team of fabricators to bring your ideas to life.  Anything can be had, no matter how rare or hard to find!

Geoff Johnson - Customer Service
Geoff came to the Surgeline team three years ago after spending many years working in e-commerce operations for a major online performance parts distributor.  In addition to his experience, Geoff earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington State University (Go Cougars!).  As an enthusiast and active community member for many years, Geoff has excellent insight and product knowledge about the performance sport compact car market.  Geoff is our eyes and ears of the front room and will make sure your time at COBB Tuning Surgeline is a professional, enjoyable experience from start to finish.  Whether you're looking for a basic Stage 2 tune or all-out 10 second drag-racer, Geoff will facilitate making your horsepower dreams into a reality!

Chris Fogg - Technician
Chris is an experienced Master Technician with years of specializing in Import Tuning under his belt and a formal automotive education from Universal Technical Institute. Chris started tuning Volkswagens and then made the jump to Japanese imports with Subarus. Chris currently races his VR6 Rabbit which runs consistent mid 11-second passes in the quarter mile and also races many of his friend’s cars whenever they want to see their car’s best results. Chris completed much of the fabrication, wiring, drive train installation and final assembly of the COBB Tuning Surgeline drag race WRX, owned by his close friend Matt Kincaid.

Nick Blake - Sales/Customer Service
Nick is COBB Tuning Surgeline's jack-of-all-trades and can be found manning the front desk, taking sales calls, consulting on project builds and turning wrenches as a back-up technician.  Nick is nearing completion of his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and eagerly planning his automotive career.  He is an automotive and performance enthusiast and has owned many unique performance and sports cars, including an E85-powered Subaru WRX and a BMW E36 M3.

Stefan Denham - Technician
Stefan has over 12 years of automotive experience and is a die-hard Subaru enthusiast.  He has performed virtually all types of automotive repairs and upgrades, including in-depth transmission and drivetrain repairs, custom suspension component fabrication and more.  Stefan has built, maintained and raced two of his own personal Subaru's – a 2004 Subaru STi and a 2002 Suabru WRX and he has owns several hill climb records in the Pacific NW.  Stefan leverages his experience and passion for performance to each and every car he works with. He is a great asset to the portland based COBB Tuning Surgeline Team.
