What is an Accessport?
The Accessport is the world’s best selling, most flexible, and easiest to use ECU tuning solution for your 2018-2020 F-150 2.7L EcoBoost. The Accessport is the key to tuning your F-150. With options to change both engine and transmission calibrations, completely customizing your driving experience is in the palm of your hand. It allows you to increase power by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations, and more! The Accessport is in-cabin mountable and has a large, full color, high-resolution screen which allows you to monitor up to six parameters in real time. It is fully customizable from the look (multiple bezel colors), layout (set up race, street, or dyno gauge clusters), and mounting options (choose from 1,000s of standard vehicle mounts).
2018 – 2020 2.7L
|
Power gains, map availability, and features are uniform throughout the 2018-2020 model year 2.7L F-150. Ford combines the ECU and TCM into one unit. Because of this, the only option is collective ECU and TCM support onto the same Accessport for the supported years of the 2.7L F-150.
Off The Shelf Maps
The COBB Accessport easily installs in minutes and comes pre-loaded with several options for Off The Shelf engine (ECU) and transmission (TCM) maps. These maps cover varying octane fuels and offer performance gains for trucks ranging from stock to full bolt-ons. If you want more advanced modifications outside the normal upgrade path, there is a large network of Protuners that can use the Accessport and Accesstuner Pro software to create a custom tune for any modification level. Whether you decide to follow our staged upgrade path with pre-loaded Off The Shelf (OTS) maps or use custom mapping for an advanced build, the Accessport is the only engine management solution you’ll ever need!
Below are the detailed graphs of the COBB Off The Shelf Maps for the 2018 – 2020 2.7L F-150 using 93 octane fuel. Generally speaking, 91 octane calibrations have less aggressive ignition advance to help compensate for lower octane fuel blends. The maps designed for 93 octane are the most aggressive and therefore make the most power.

Power output on Performance Tow calibrations will change with vehicle drive mode, with Sport drive mode producing more than Normal and Tow drive modes. Power and torque in Normal and Tow drive modes is shown in the dotted red and blue lines, respectively. Power and torque in Sport drive mode is shown in the solid red and blue lines, respectively. Stock output (regardless of vehicle drive mode) is shown by the dashed lines.
These maps come preloaded and are also available via a simple download or firmware update at no additional cost. If you install modifications outside the scope of the Off The Shelf maps, compatible maps can be created via custom tuning though a massive COBB Protuner network. For more specific information about our OTS Maps, visit the Map Notes Page.
TCM Maps
Transmission Control Module (TCM) maps manipulate the workings of the transmission. The goal of these maps is to improve transmission behavior overall. Improve can mean various things depending on your goals. With that in mind, there are three off the shelf TCM maps to choose from: Simulated Stock, OEM+, and Sport.
SIMULATED STOCK |
The simulated stock maps are a replica of the factory TCM data for the 2018 – 2020 F-150 2.7L |
COBB OEM+ |
The COBB OEM+ map is intended to be a sporty but refined improvement on the stock transmission behavior.
|
COBB SPORT |
The COBB Sport map is intended to be a performance-first improvement on the stock transmission behavior.

COMPARISON
The factory ECU uses transmission Output Shaft Speed (OSS) for shift schedule tables along with Accelerator Pedal Position (APP). The graphs above translate the OSS to vehicle speed (assuming stock tire size and diff. gearing) and show the shift schedules based on APP (x-axis) and Vehicle Speed (y-axis). This allows you to see how shifting behavior operates at a given vehicle speed and throttle input.
Note – plots showing vehicle speed may not align with the shifting behavior of your truck due to differences in available factory final drive ratios or variances in tire sizes. The greatest takeaway from the schedule graphs above are the changes in upshifts. Shift points are moderately increased for sportier acceleration with the COBB OEM+ map and further increased with the COBB Sport map. The window for skip shifts is also narrower between for the OEM+ map compared to the Stock map. For the COBB Sport map, skip shifts are eliminated except for 1 > 3 shifts in low speed and light throttle situations. There are also more responsive downshift schedules and more anticipatory coastdown (off-power) shift schedules. This allows smoother driving experience in off throttle situations and when slowing to a stop.
Howdy,
I have a f150 2.7 ecoB and I have the Roush intake, a SCT-BDX tune, CVS down pipe, flow master exhaust, and CVS intercooler. I really need a mentor or someone that’s willing to help me get the most out of my Frankenstein situation. I don’t plan on racing, this is my daily driver and I do like to run with the V8’s and anyone else that thinks they have a fast car. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey there! We do not offer an “Off The Shelf” that supports your current setup. I would recommend reaching out to one of our COBB Protuners that specializes in Ford truck tuning so they can best understand your goals with the truck and help put together a plan to help you get there. Our Dealer Locator can help you either find someone local to you or a Protuner that offers remote ‘e-tuning’ services. Recommendations off the top of my head – Goose Tuned, TunePlus, and PD Tuning are all pretty well experienced with out Ford EcoBoost software.
