Ford – 2015 Focus ST Support, Firmware and Accesstuner Updates

15 Focus Motion Shot Quick and Dirty_blog

The COBB Ford Expert group has been hard at work and is excited to announce the availability of new products and features! Most notably, Accessport Support and Hard Parts for the 2015 Focus ST as well as firmware updates to earlier model year Focus STs!

2015 Focus ST

The existing Focus Accessport is now compatible with the 2015 Focus ST. Simply make sure you are on the current Firmware (1.7.2.0-10103 or better) and Intsall! The 2015 Focus ST also has all of the Off The Shelf Maps as the previous model year vehicles available.

Hard Part Upgrades have also been test fitted and the Front Mount Intercooler,  Shift Knob, Shift Plate, Cat-Back Exhaust, and Downpipe are available for the 2015!  The Intake is currently being re-designed to be compatible with the new model year and will be available soon.  COBB Springs and sway bars have not yet been tested.

Firmware/Feature Updates

Now available for all Ford Accessports is a BETA Engine Off Detection (EOD) Feature.  The on/off button still retains its functionality but the  EOD feature enables the Accessport to sense when the vehicle is running and automatically turns on or off with the engine.  EOD does require the user to enable the feature.  It can also remain disabled if you prefer to use the on/off button exclusively.  Here are the details on how to enable Engine Off Detection.

Burnout Mode has now been added to all Focus Sts including the 2013-2014 model years.  Instructions for Burnout Mode and other Custom Features on the Ford Platform can be found here.

The flashing procedure has now been optimized to allow for faster flashing times.  Expect a 10 second improvement when changing maps and about a 30 second improvement on the initial install!

Accesstuner Updates

Several improvements have been made to Accesstuner software!  Enhanced table descriptions, cell selection, and 3D graph progress are among several smaller changes that add to the Accesstuner renovation.  It is important to note that existing table structures have changed and careful review is required when updating existing ATR and ATP maps for ALL 2013-2014 Focus STs to the new format!   More details on table structure changes can be found here.  This review is only required for users updating custom maps from the old Accesstuner to the current version.

In an effort to sync all Ford Platforms, the cruise control layout has been changed which affects access to some custom features.  More details on these updates can be found here.

Map Updates

The v312 Maps are now the current latest version for the 2013+ Focus ST.  New updates allow more advantage to the new and existing features.

  • The Economy Mode Map is no longer a separate file.  All performance maps are distributed with an Economy Mode Map in the 2nd map slot.
  • Custom Feature support has been added for vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Burnout Mode is enabled on all performance maps and is set at 5000rpm to prevent over-revving during burnouts.
  • Fuel and Throttle Cut Launch Control have been added to all performance maps and is set at 2500rpm.

Does COBB intake give a nice whoosh sound like on the Evo? I had an Evo that loved to breathe.
