Description

The COBB Ford Fiesta ST Rear Motor Mount is the best way to minimize engine movement, improve traction, and reduce wheel hop without major impact to NVH. Typical bushing designs can rattle your teeth out at idle or during throttle input. The COBB Ford Fiesta ST RMM utilizes unique voids custom molded into the larger 68A durometer bushing and a smaller 85A durometer bushing to absorb vibrations, but still reduce engine movement to aid getting all the power to the ground. The beautifully machined 6061 billet aluminum mount with zinc hardware will make you sad you have to hide it under your car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have! This motor mount should be one of the first parts you purchase for your Fiesta ST. The install was very easy and straight forward. I immediately noticed that the shifting became smoother especially under higher RPM's. It also noticeably reduced the torque steer, giving me greater control of the wheel under WOT. I would also like to add that my Fiesta ST is a 2016 model. So for Cobb and the rest of you I will say for a fact that this part is compatible with the 2016 year models with no issues. There is minor vibration at idle just as other customers have stated but this is minimal and I didn't even notice it after the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better engine sound/ More power to the ground I bought the COBB RMM last week and just installed it this weekend. I couldn't be any happier with my recent purchase. The shifting is so much smoother and it adds a lot more power to the ground. The only Con that i could think anyone could say is that it adds a lot of vibration inside the car.. BUT THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT.. AWESOME

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I needed a new mount for my 2008 Mk 6 Fiesta ST and came across this product after some searching. The Mk 6 Fiesta ST has a 2.0L engine rated at 150bhp. Ford also used the standard engine mount with this ST and so the mount didn't last long. Mine was cracked and worn out. The Mk 7 basically used the same mount but with slightly modified bushes. I wanted a mount that I could fit straight in so the COBB RMM seemed like a good choice from what I found. (Looked nice too!) Didn't take too long to arrive (it travelled about 20500 Km in 5 days) and I installed it the day I received it. Quality made and installation was easy with the references they supply. The gear shifts are nice and smooth now when under load and the vibration is a lot less than I had anticipated. Only with the AC on are the vibrations felt more but quite easy to live with. Overall very happy with product and dealing with COBB!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't fix problem like COBB claims! I bought item 2 weeks ago installed it and yes it was done correctly all bolts properly tightened. I went to smash gas and bang through gears and was absolutely ticked to find out I spend $155.00 on something that didn't fix my problem at all!! Yes banging is a problem with all ST's but dont claim you fix it if your product doesn't fix issue. It makes engine vibration pretty ruff but not unbareable and I could deal with it if it just worked as described. How am I supposed to buy more "goodies" from COBB if the 1st thing I buy doesn't work as described. My car is 3 weeks old with less then 900 miles on it fyi. Maybe it needs a front mount too???.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice RMM (Put Power To the Ground) I have installed my Cobb RMM two week ago and I'm really happy of the result!! The installation is really easy. The mount made a huge difference in how the car launches and feels during shifts. No more wheel hop. :) The shifting between the gear is just better!! All the power of the Fiesta ST is put to the Ground with the RMM. There have only one negative point is the added vibration from the engine when idling that the stock mount absorbed. But it is not bad at all and you only notice it when you're idling. Definitely worth living with. Good Product Cobb!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COBB RMM FTW The addition of the COBB rmm to my FiST has made the feel of the clutch so much better. I can feel the car move forward as I release the clutch. I also no longer have the clunk under full throttle shifting. Sure this rmm is more expensive than the bushing inserts that are also on the market, but this is far easier to install (10-15 minutes), it is high quality and looks much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't even debate on it. Bought this as one of the first mods on my Fiesta ST. Takes maybe 10-15 minutes to install. Just makes the car feel better. Shifts under acceleration don't jerk the car around. Very little vibration transfer, mainly at idle with the A/C on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Upgrade and a must if you are doing other Power Mods Pros: Definitely get less wheel spin, less wheel hop, less torque steer, and smoother shifts vs the stock RMM. I no longer get wheel spin when shifting hard into 2nd or 3rd. I can still get a lot in 1st. In my tests I've been able to put down about 20 ft/lb more torque in 1st and 10 more in 2nd. That's not on a dyno or anything... I use Cobb's AP and Access Tuner Race software. Before installing the RMM, I had spent a considerable amount of time adjusting the Throttle Requested Torque tables for 1st/2nd gear @ 100% throttle (ie during Launch Control & FFS) so that it produced just enough power to accelerate without any wheel spin. Since installing the Cobb RMM I've been able to increase the torque by 20 ft/lb in 1st and 10 ft/lb in 2nd. Also, very easy to install. Cobb has a instruction video on the product page under the description. Take a look... Cons: When driving there is absolutely no added vibration or harshness of any kind. When idling (like at a stoplight) WITHOUT the A/C there is a slight, almost unnoticeable, vibration. Personally I like it; makes the car feel more alive. When stopped, idling with the A/C cranked up to full blast the vibration is just slightly annoying. I wouldn't want to sit like that for 20 minutes, but a minute or two is no big deal. If you have Access Tuner Race you can just bump up your Idle to between 1060-1080 RPMs. I've done this and it cancels 100% of the vibration. I've only been monitoring the coolant and oil temps for a couple days, but so far its all normal. It has been in the upper 80s/low 90s here. If you live somewhere hot and drive in stop and go traffic I would recommend you watch this closely. It will of course have a slight effect on MPG. I haven't had it for long enough to tell for sure, but so far the effect seems very small.
