Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Craftsmanship I bought this exhaust to replace the Q300 from my 2015 STI. I am most impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship of the exhaust. The welds, the bends, its mirror-like polish, the laser-etched tips, everything... it's a gorgeous looking exhaust. It took me some time to find the right adjustment. But the fitment is perfect; no rubbing, rattle, clanging, etc. I really love the sound it produces. It's a deeper tone. The sound level is in check by your right foot. Even under wipe open throttle, I appreciate the tone I hear. It loud enough to be noticed within close proximity; not a mile away. No droning on the highway. I am very satisfied with the finish product. I enjoy driving my STI more so than ever before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Fabrication and Fit I just installed the resonated J-pipe for my 2015 WRX. The materials, fabrication, and fit of the J-pipe are outstanding. Connected to the Suburu accessory STI cat-back system, the total exhaust sound is outstanding with no annoying resonances at any speed/rpm. I installed the Cobb Mishimoto CAI/Cobb TBE 93, stage 2 map and am look forward to running a few datalogs after the ECU settles to get a true reading on added performance in near future. I settled on the Cobb TBE after doing much research and shopping and am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, excellent fit. I was very impressed with the quality of the exhaust and even the packaging it arrived in, all top notch. No nasty surprises during the install as fitment was spot on. As others have noted, i'd strongly suggest changing the stock exhaust hangers to the firmer urethane version. The only frustrating part of the install is fighting with the hangers, but some Windex (i'm sure soapy water would have worked) made if much easier. The sounds is deeper, but is far from obnoxious and doesn't appear to attract any unwanted attention. Exactly what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reduce The Rasp I originally had the COBB J-Pipe Non Resonated, but had a fitment problem and COBB replaced it with the resonated version per my request. I had quite a bit of rasp with the original J-Pipe. With the resonated version, it reduces the rasp and makes the car sound much more attractive. As with my other review, I highly suggest purchasing OEM Turbo Studs, Bolts, and Gasket as the nuts will strip out on you. I prefer this pipe over the non-resonated if using the stock Cat-Back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tone, Superb Quality, 2017 WRX Exhaust upon original purchase was gorgeous, very nice welds and the product just felt high quality. Install was a breeze and simple even by myself. The tone upon first start up I didn't feel changed much from stock tone other then its a little deeper. After warming up car and cruising it around and getting into boost, that is when you notice the exhaust tone change the most. Sounds great and not overly loud by any means, great tone at highway speeds and ZERO DRONE. I did want to mention using Windex was a great idea on the exhaust hangers to help slip them off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2017 WRX, great product, nightmare install After I installed the AP and Big SF on my 2017 WRX at 10k miles, it wasn't long before I decided to do the resonated j-pipe. The product delivered fast and as always Cobb quality is excellent. Before you start the removal of the stock j-pipe do a lot of research and make sure to purchase a replacement turbo bolt stud kit. This is a must. Im surprised this wasn't included by Cobb since its likely these will be needed as part of the headache to remove the stock set up. I started my install by driving the car on ramps and removing the plastic tray and skid plate. Relocating the ground wire and removing the metal j-pipe braces was easy. Only use 6pt sockets for this project or you will have issues. The nuts that hold the j-pipe to the turbo are self tightening and were incredibly difficult to remove, even when using penetrating oil. I had to fight with this step for about 2 hours. The bolt on the bottom left of the turbo was seized and ended up pulling out the bolt stud. The bolt on the top right is almost impossible to reach. For this I had to use 2 extensions, a universal, and deep well 6pt. After 30 minutes I was able to make solid contact with the nut. Yay! Of course since the nut was practically welded on the the bolt stud as soon as I gave it force it rounded the top. Ugh. Total pain. I was able to remove all hardware EXCEPT the top right bolt. About 6 beers later, I decided it would be better to just throw everything back on the car and take to my buddy (who is a mechanic). Putting everything back took about 20 minutes and was very simple. My friend's shop was able to remove everything (even the mangled top right bolt) and install the new pipe in about an hour. Given this, I would have taken to him from the start. Probably helped that I loosened everything up for him. "First time tight, second time alright". Right now I am driving around with 3/4 turbo bolts secure since we're waiting on the aftermarket bolt stud kit to deliver. No exhaust leak, but Im going to take it easy until I have all 4. Before I hit the road I updated my car with the new Cobb Stage 2+ Big SF map and WOW. I am very happy with the performance gains with this new set up. My goal was faster, not louder. This resonated j-pipe is great and provides much better response and power. I was actually surprised with how much I like the sound paired with my STI catback exhaust. When cruising its barely louder, until you stomp on it. On heavy acceleration you can definitely hear the difference. The tone and noise created fits well with the car and doesn’t sound like a slammed 93 Civic. The sound clips online do not give the Cobb j-pipe justice. Better instructions, setting expectations for DIY installation, and including a replacement turbo bolt kit would have made for a better customer experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice gurgle, popping at high-revs. So the Resonated J-pipe is 100% the way to go if you are looking for that low key, but ready to rumble exhaust sound. The exhaust notes are noticeable. In every gear revving the engine out to nearly 7k you will get an awesome popping gurgle sound. Amazing!!!! Also at red lights, pressing the gas to about 4k will also make the same sound on decel. I thought I left something loose and was having an exhaust leak. I am pretty OCD and checked 2 consecutive days just to make sure I wasn't crazy. The craftsmanship: what can I say. It is built with precision and truly out ranks the competition. The only downside is the accuracy of how the two sections line up, including the gasket. Its pretty good, not superb but it will do the job without any issues. The studs: be careful. Take your time. Mine came off without breaking nor stripping any out. I also used PB Blast. The O2 sensor attachments are without a doubt perfect. Overall this product is 10/10 in every category.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great exhaust The quality of the exhaust is insanely good. It's hard to describe how beautiful this exhaust looks, and even harder not being able to see it once under the car. The installation and fitment were spot on, the only thing that didn't give me confidence were the gasket that were provided. They are the ones that look like cardboard with a coat of paint. The tone of the exhaust was a bit disappointing when I started the car because i didn't hear much of a difference from stock from inside the car. However, as I drove the car I noticed the difference and have begun to fall in love with the deeper tone of the exhaust and more importantly the feel of the car. Now I am more in tuned with the engine's revs and can drive better with the radio on.
