The Big SF Intake for the 2015+ Subaru WRX is constructed of full 3" aluminum tubing, a custom aluminum airbox, and a dual cone intake filter. Mandrel bent and powder-coated black, the 3" intake tube and custom airbox look great in the engine bay and increase airflow potential substantially. The reusable Green filter can be cleaned and re-used for the life of your vehicle!

Replacing the factory intake and airbox with the COBB Cold Air Intake will greatly reduce pre-turbo restrictions. When a restriction is removed, it allows the engine to be more efficient while also enabling it to make more power!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality, straightforward installation Installation wasn't bad. Although we're in the era of tablets, it would have been handy to have some paper instructions. That's my only gripe, though. The product is great, and the sound is borderline erotic. I'd definitely do the "from the bottom" installation. A floor jack will give you plenty of room to work. Pro Tip - Be sure you didn't let your friend borrow your floor jack and jack stands before you tear your stock intake off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from AF Ratio is usually off First thing I noticed about the intake was that the intake had metal shavings attached to the inside. I had to spend some time and effort to remove it all. After I installed it, it was very difficult to put the box cover on due to fitment issues. My biggest concern is with the placement of the filter. Due to the design it can be very difficult to place the filter at the correct position on the intake tube. You can try to mark it but this doesn't always help as the filter can be canted and not squarely secured to the intake tube. These slight variations in depth and canting can lead to huge changes in your AF ratio. It takes me hours of driving and tweaking to get it between -9 and 9.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good product but fitment issue with MAF I bought this a year ago this may. It all fits well but the MAF. It leaks. I had my cobb pro tuner double check with a smoke test. We believe its from the powder coating preventing a good seal. We were able to seal it ourselves but its definitely an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer BOV Sound! Just did the install today. Very straightforward, and with the access port, was able to quickly flash the proper map. This thing sounds like a dragon. You can hear it in action, and when the blow off valve releases, it makes me smile every time. Solid purchase and we'll worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Intake! Great Intake! I received the order quickly and customer service was great. I had a small imperfection bubble and a scratch on the air box. After contacting customer service they sent out another air box. I would definitely recommend this Intake! It was a little tricky to get in but just take your time and have patience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not quite the fitment I expected I decided to install from the top which is completely doable, having a small ratchet helps. The quality of materials is top notch but I had a terrible time trying to line up the mounting holes for the box and being able to get the lid on. It felt like I really had to torque it to be able to squeeze the screws in. Definitely more challenging to get in the I was expecting.

Everyone...I put this thing on my '17 WRX...she's got about 5,500 just broken in.....I have COBB's cat back exhaust...great product....really freed up the turbo...spins up faster and reaches much higher rpm without the restrictive stock exhaust...and I already had the 93 Octane stage 1 flash on the car... But when I put the big SF on and re-flashed (make sure you won't believe the difference)...this thing became a monster...First gear is just pulls so much harder. I also have the Group N transmission mount...keeps things where they should be. MAKE SURE YOU FLASH..I made a mistake and did a real time flash...I flashed again today (the right way) and just had to make a comment here...this thing makes a really big change...yes it makes noise..but people won't hear it for very long ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Necessity for 2015+ WRX This is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for the 2015+ WRX. I own a 2017, and the difference is way more than I would have expected (but what I hoped). Let me clarify what people are saying in their that actually almost deterred me from purchasing this intake. When they speak of "fitment issue," they are talking about the 3-bolt metal bracket connecting the vehicle body to the stock air filter box. I imagine that this may have been slightly different on the 2015 model when they designed the intake vs the 2016/2017 model (I could be wrong). The Cobb intake fits, installs, and works perfectly without using this bracket. There are two bolts already holding the metal "box" surround the filter in place. The “sound” or “loudness” of this intake is not what you think. It’s the sound of forced induction amplified slightly, not the terrible exhaust-mimicking sound of putting an intake on your Civic. The stock intake places the mass airflow sensor exactly at the opening of the inlet piping…I have absolutely no idea why they did this, I think the intake designers must have been a new group of inexperienced engineers (who should be fired). With the MAF at this location it is very difficult to properly meter the air being pulled into the engine: surging, inconstant power, engine knocking (sometimes severe), and the turbo/intake not sounding/operating right are the result. Do you notice wide open throttle often feels less than 30%, 40%, or 50% throttle? This is a severe design flaw (not the stock tune). The Cobb intake places the MAF where it should be, and it feels like 100 more smooth horsepower. The engine finally runs like it should. I no longer have any complaints with this car, this is an absolute must for your FA20DIT. (I am using the off the shelf Cobb tune (AccessPort) for this intake).
