GT Live – Utah 2008

This past weekend, GT Live rolled into town to host a motorsports festival at Miller Motorsports Park here in Utah. Once again, we were a major sponsor of the event and held a COBB car corral for fellow enthusiasts as well as hosting a Auto-x event with the help of our local SCCA chapter.

On display we had our G37 demo car, our 350Z, ’08 STI, and EVO X. We also entered our R35 GT-R and Mazdaspeed3 in the Time Attack. Overall, the weekend was a great success and a LOT of fun. Thanks to everyone that came out — all the competitors, participants, and fans. It was really great to meet all of you!

I spent most of my day answering questions about the various cars, talking with fellow enthusiasts, making sure all things were in order, and enjoying my fair share of interviews (something I still struggle with). We also had our entire calibration (tuning) team on hand, with Christian, Tim and John assisting other teams using our track-side AWD chassis dyno. Josh, Eric, Billy, Dave and others helped keep the Time Attack cars in top condition, while Chris, Scott, Justin and more helped answer enthusiast’s questions about our products. Over on the auto-x course, we had Jon, Rob and others from the local SCCA chapter helping to keep things running smoothly. Even my brother, Ryan, came up from Texas to help out! At the end of the day, it was definitely a team effort and a successful one at that. Thank you all!

Below are a few random pictures from the event. I’ll update the blog more with some more specific information about various Time Attack results.
