Vehicles Supported
The following list of vehicles are all supported by the aforementioned Accessport. Regardless of year, they are able to be tuned in the same manner for increased power output.
- 2017 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) USDM
- 2018 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) USDM
- 2019 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) USDM
- 2020 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) USDM
- 2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) USDM
Off The Shelf Maps & Power Gains
Included in the Accessport, also available for download on our website, are our COBB Off The Shelf (OTS) Maps. These files are generated by our COBB Calibration Team for otherwise stock cars. Components like replacement air filters for the stock airbox and exhaust components that retain factory catalytic converters are safe to use with these OTS Maps. The Stage0 file does not increase power as it retains all factory calibration data but provides the ability to utilize all of the other Accessport functions, such as data monitoring and logging.
Our Stage 1 files are aimed at really taking advantage of what Honda has left on the table. With increased boost pressure and more aggressive timing/fueling curves, and much more, we are able to produce a significant increase in both low end torque as well as top end power.
- Stage0 v100
- Stage1 91 OCT or 95 RON v100
- Stage1 93 OCT or 98 RON v100

In the clear, no matter where you live
The COBB Accessport for the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (AP3-HON-001) allows you to flash and tune without worry as our device and all calibrations come with coverage via an executive order from CARB (D-660-174). This means you don’t need to duck and dodge the fuzz or even need to uninstall before going in for any smog checks. We’ve got you completely covered at full power, no secondary neutered calibration.
Only The Best!
With the AP3-HON-001 Accessport, you’ll have the fastest logging rate in the aftermarket Honda scene at up to 50hz depending on monitors and even the ability log an absolutely insane 49 monitors at the same time. You’ll also have the ability to live view up to six of those data points with digital gauges on the high-resolution screen!
But We’re Not Stopping There!
As you know, we can’t just leave good alone and we’ve got a bunch of goodies in-progress for the Honda platform! We’re already hard at work adding in your favorite COBB Custom Features like Launch Control, Flat Foot Shifting, Custom Traction Control…and more! And the roadmap continues with additional vehicles and maybe even flex fuel at some point!
Accesstuner Pro Custom Tuning
For those interested in custom tuning, our Accesstuner Pro software also now supports these vehicles. Any of our Authorized Honda Protuners can create a custom calibration for use with your Accessport. Find a COBB Honda Protuner HERE.
Will there be a cobb tuner for all Honda civic models
We do plan to offer support for additional vehicles in the future. What specific Civic trim are you interested in tuning?

When running stock airbox and exhaust and just using pump 91 gas. Do we have to dyno the car for stage 1 OTS calibration to use? or just plug and good to drive immediately?
No need to put the car on the dyno unless you simply want before and after charts. Just plug the Accessport into the car, flash the Stage1 91 map, and you are good to go!

I notice there are a lot of features missing on the fk8 type r ap like auto shut off, anti theft mode, ffs are these features going to be added in later on throigh a update?
Hey there! We are currently working on our first iteration of COBB Custom Features (CCF) for the FK8 which will include Launch Control and Flat Foot Shifting. Keep an eye out for that in the next month or so. Our software team is ramping up to implement a fix for the Auto On/Off feature that is currently broken for ALL new Accessports, I don’t have an ETA for that at the moment. Both of those will be implemented with a simple, free firmware update to the Accessport when available. Right now we do not have plans to offer an Anti-Theft Map but that can always change with enough demand!

I currently own the fk8 tuner and I’m utilizing the off the shelf map. Can I legally get the car tuned at a shop now too?
Mine didn’t come with a carb sticker, do I need one?
Hey there! You can absolutely have the car custom tuned by one of our Protuners with the Accessport you already own, no need for additional hardware or anything. The legal side would be a question for the Protuner creating the tune as they would need to go through the same emissions compliance testing our COBB OTS Maps underwent. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-866-922-3059 or [email protected] for a CARB sticker.

Hi,
Is Cobb ever going to have other OTS maps to download for the FK8? I’ve used the Access port before on my Evo VIII and there were several maps for intake, exhaust, fuel..etc that could be downloaded. I’m only seeing 91 or 93 octane maps?
Hey Tom!
We are not -currently- working on additional OTS Maps for the FK8 but a larger supported upgrade path is something we would like to offer down the line. In the meantime, you would need to have the car custom tuned for most bolt-on upgrades.

Hey cobb, what are the acceptable Short Term Fuel Trim (STFT) and Long Term Fuel Trims (LTFT) on access port? is it the same as the other tuners? +10/-10?
Hey Marc! We typically just like to see trims relatively tight and consistent, but there’s a bit more to consider than the values at face value. It is common to see STFT values move around quite a bit during shifts/decel/larger throttle changes but they should settle out relatively quickly once RPM/load is stabilized. LTFTs should move around a bit less than STFTs and are more indicative of consistent STFTs in a certain area. Here’s a link to our Honda Data Logging Guide for reference.
