Our History With Ford Trucks
COBB Tuning began its focus on Ford F-150 trucks starting with the 2017+ F-150 Raptor, which introduced the twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine. We have developed performance products like the Accessport V3, which includes pre-loaded performance maps and allows for transmission tuning to improve shift points and firmness. COBB’s Stage Power Packages for the F-150 combine hardware upgrades such as high-flow air filters and intercoolers with aggressive ECU tuning, delivers a significant increase in horsepower and torque depending on fuel octane. Over time, COBB has expanded support to additional F-150 trims, including the Tremor and Limited editions, continuously refining their tunes and hardware to unlock more power and improve both on- and off-road drivability while maintaining the truck’s reliability and daily usability.
Flex Fuel Upgrade & Tuning for Ford Trucks
COBB Tuning began flex fuel development primarily for Subaru WRX and STI models, integrating ethanol sensor technology with the COBB Accessport. This enabled cars to switch smoothly between gasoline and ethanol blends by automatically adjusting fuel and ignition settings. Over time, we have expanded flex fuel support to other brands like Nissan GT-R, Volkswagen and Audi and other Subaru Models, improving hardware durability and real-time ethanol content monitoring. Our focus has been on reliable, user-friendly flex fuel solutions that enhance performance and protect the engine across fuel blends.
For years, COBB Tuning has been the go-to for Raptor owners looking to get more out of their trucks, offering products that provide more power and better transmission control. Now, we are excited to announce the release of CAN Flex Fuel for the Gen2 Ford F-150 Raptor. The kit is designed to be a simple, plug-and-play solution that allows you to take advantage of the performance benefits of higher ethanol pump fuel found at your local gas station. The COBB Flex Fuel Kits also have SEMA emissions-certified status from our industry partners at SEMA Garage, so you won’t have any headaches when it’s time to register your truck. These kits can be added to existing Stage 1, 1+, and 2+ Power Packages or purchased as part of a Flex Fuel Power Package.

Flex Fuel Upgrade Kit
CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade for Gen2 F-150 EcoBoost Raptor
The COBB CAN Gateway Flex Fuel Upgrade measures the ethanol content level of the fuel being pumped into your engine and then sends that data to the ECU to be used in an Accessport delivered Flex Fuel calibration. A true plug-and-play installation and allows for seamless integration of flex fuel for supported vehicles.The included COBB CAN Gateway provides the means for aftermarket sensor data to be injected into your car’s CAN system where it can be absorbed by the ECU and utilized in either a COBB Off The Shelf Map or custom calibration. The Gateway itself is constructed of billet aluminum encasing a precision manufactured PCB. The included bracket allows for a straight-forward bolt-in installation on supported cars. Each CAN Gateway Kit includes a vehicle specific wiring harness. This specific kit is compatible with Ford Raptor 2017-2020. It consists of a cable that runs into the cabin and utilizes our CAN adapter which allows integration to be a plug-and-play affair. Installation of this component requires removal of your car’s Radio/Cockpit Control Unit. The CAN Ethanol Sensor Kit includes an ethanol sensor with mounting bracket, fuel lines with quick connect fittings, and a wiring harness that connects to the CAN Gateway.

CAN Flex Fuel Stage Power Packages for Gen2 F-150 EcoBoost Raptor
All new Stage 1, Stage 1 + and Stage 2 + CAN Flex Fuel Power Packages are available and Off The Shelf Maps can be downloaded directly from our website or accessed through an Accessport firmware update.
The Stage 1 CAN Flex Fuel Power Package includes the Accessport V3 (w/ TCM Flashing available), COBB High Flow Panel Filter, and the CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade.
Next up, the Stage 1 + CAN Flex Fuel Power Package includes the Accessport V3 (w/ TCM Flashing available), Intake System (COBB Intake or Redline Carbon Fiber Intake), and the CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade.
Finally, our Stage 2 + CAN Flex Fuel Power Package includes the Accessport V3 (w/ TCM Flashing available), Intake System (COBB Intake or Redline Carbon Fiber Intake), Front Mount Intercooler or Factory Location Intercooler, CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade and a COBB Vehicle Badge.
On COBB’s Development Truck, configured with our Stage 2 + Flex Fuel Power Package and associated OTS Map, jumped from 447 wHP / 565 wTQ on 93 pump to a tire-shredding 514 wHP / 595 wTQ on E50 without anything more than changing the fuel in the tank!.
