80% terrible for meSo I just got this in the mail today and went to install. Seemed easy enough. First I noticed it was modified go pro mounts, which was okay I suppose. Then I realized you had to force the screws through the plastic to get the AP mount on, annoying but I guess that's alright. The kicker for me was the latch that goes under your digital display is made of cheap plastic that practically breaks and becomes useless if you don't get it perfect the first time. I went to put it in again and it just bent and wouldn't stay in. That much money for a rag tag cheap mount totally blew my mind. This is the first time I've been extremely disappointed with Cobb. I will be getting a refund. I hate writing bad reviews but people need to know. Cobb please make a real mount specifically for this that doesn't have some flimsy plastic as a crucial holding point.

It worksAfter having Double sided 3m tape fail on me over and over again. I finally bought this piece. Install was fairly easy and i didnt break anything. The reason for 3 stars is the price. This should have been included in the box with the Accessport. If im paying $650 I should not have to pay another $70 for a mount that actually works. How is it, that this mount is $65 before shipping n tax, yet every other vent mount or suction cup is $15. All in all it works and looks ok, but i am unhappy with the price.

OK, but not greatI bought this product aware that there are many cheaper options, but I bought this for a "custom" install. I did not want to buy a vent mount, because you will heat your unit up in the winter if you use the heat and also did not want to buy a suction cup mount because then I'd have a wire hanging up to my window. Seeing that some research had to be done to create a mount that fits like this, I understand that the mount is a bit costly, but ultimately, for what you are getting its too expensive.
Installation required screwing together two separate pieces from "proclipusa" with self driving screws. On mine there were no pilot holes to mount the mounting bracket to the clip horizontally as pictured so I had to mount the bracket vertically and twist the mount (no big deal its almost better like this).
The kicker for me here is that while the accessport sits in the bracket, it does not really lock securely into place. It doesn't rattle around, but its not exactly secure either. I don't think a bump would knock it out, but u can lift it out with your pinky finger.
Between the fact that the price is really too high, the holes on my mount were slightly different than pictured, and that the mount does not hold the accessport 100% securely in place I would rate this unit a 3.5/5, but am rounding down. I would recommend this product to a friend, but only after showing them the issues I have with it.

mounting bracketThis product was extremely easy to install and worked out great. Honestly though, I think it was overpriced for what it is..you can get a cell phone mount for half the price and serves the same purpose. But like I said, product quality was great.

Best option so far...This is OK. The fit is not perfect..causes the seam near clock to remain open and looks poor. Price is too high for what it is. Should be sub $40.

Great product.Bought and installed about 2 weeks ago. Super easy, just make sure you put it as close to the left side as possible so you can still get to all the buttons on your head unit. Installed it in maybe 10 minutes.

Acceptable.I bought this because my 3mm tape decided it wanted to die out on me when i was not in the car. Needless to say I came back to the car my access port screen was cracked the size of a small rock chip. So over all I wish it was cheaper in price or it came with the AP instead of 70$ for it after the fact. It looks more cleanly put together with this mount than with the 3mm also.

Good qualityI bought this dash mount a few months ago to give my AccessPort V3 some semi-permanent real estate on the dash of my 2011 STI hatchback. If you are thinking about picking up the AccessPort for your WRX/STI I would recommend getting some sort of mount since otherwise utilizing the gauge features will be almost impossible. I originally wanted a pillar mount but after installing this center mount I think I would prefer this one. It has two options for attaching the mounting bracket which is nice, since it allows for any accessories to be mounted off the the left, more behind the steering wheel while leaving a relatively clear line of sight to the temperature and fuel economy display. It also leaves plenty of room around the volume knob for the stock stereo if that's what you are running. Installation was a little bit trickier than I had imagined since it was hard to get the crack further up on the dash to fully close after installation, but it still took me less then 15minutes to install. I also like that the logo says "ProClipUSA" and not "COBB Tuning" in case you are trying to maintain warranty while running custom ECU maps - the mount could easily be explained as a cell-phone or gps accessory (not that anyone ever asks). Overall I would recommend to a friend
