Subaru Australia Accessport V3 (AP3-AU-SUB-004) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than some custom-tuned Before I purchased Cubb Tuning Accessport, I have paid for a well-known motorsport garage to tune my 2016 Subura WRX STi. I had been told that I would feel a big difference in horse power and torque. After I have collected my car and drove it, I could not feel any big difference except it seems to have more torque but the car was slower in acceleration. I have been trying to accept what it has been tuned for the last 40 days because the after-sale customer-service of that garage is terrible. Eventually, I wanted to give the Cubb Accessport a try and purchased it online, run it and my conclusion is the accessport is so much better. I can feel more torque as well as faster acceleration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Australia AP / Central America STI I was worry that the AP will not work w/my car, anyway I ordered and fortunately the Australia AP did work! Therefore I’m happy that now I can monitoring & tune my STI here my country. Just keep in mind that all the OTS Map’s that comes preloaded won’t work w/some or let say all aftermarket bolt on parts that are not from Cobb, so my advice is to stick to the parts (stages) that Cobb offer, otherwise you must take your car to a pro-tuner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We are happy with Cobb but??? The Cobb AP has some fantastic futures like launch control, flatfoot shifting, and how you have so many options to choose to view on the display. But the tune itself for Australia is somewhat conservative, we tested the before and after tune by doing 3 runs form 0-100 kms and 3 runs each from 60-100 kms in the 3rd, 4th & 5th gears. We didn't see much increase in performance if any at all!!! We also notice that peek boost 17psi at around 3000rpm dropped to 10psi at 6500 rpm, I would expect that peek boost of 17psi would have been maintained all the way up to redline. I have been told that I could take the car to an authorised Cobb tuner and have the car dyno tuned for peek porformance, but that will cost between $500-$600 on top of the $1100 that we have already spent. With the amount of R&D undertaken by Cobb for so many products(past and present) I would have expected a better result for the VA WRX Tune.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well done COBB A friend bought an Accessport for his Mazda and I was amazed at what it could do and couldn't wait for the Accessport to be available for my Subaru WRX STi. As soon as they became available I ordered one and was surprised at how quick it arrived to Australia. Fitted it the day after arrival and installed it within 30 minutes. Wow what a difference it made, even with just a standard tune and the features are great especially the gauges, what a choice. Can't wait to upgrade a few more things on my car and get the next stage of tune. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good in surprising ways Went and purchased one of these as soon as the ADM MY17 STI support came along. My car is stock. Wow. Happy customer here. Stage 1, 98RON tune used. The car has a little more up-top, can probably just feel it. But that's not why I bought this thing. My experiences: * MUCH better throttle mapping, far more linear than even the "I" mode in the stock mapping. Makes it easier to get "normal driving" right. * Better response (stronger acceleration) in the 2500-3500rpm range. This is why I bought the Accessport, and am happy with the response. * I drive a fair bit in Sydney traffic and the most surprising thing about the Cobb tune is how much better the car is at 10-30km/h in traffic. FAR less grumpy, much smoother response from the engine. Car jerks around much less coming off the throttle at low speed. I wish the stock tune behaved as well as this. Great work Cobb! * I need more time to be sure, but it's looking like 1-2l/100km better on fuel economy driving in traffic. If so, will pay for itself over a few years. I did need to upgrade the firmware to the latest version before the Accessport recognised my car. Would have been nice to see something in the quick-start guide on how to get the serial number in order to register on the Cobb site. You have to register before they show you the link to download the Windows (or MacOS) application where you can upgrade the firmware. Felt a bit catch-22 at the start. PS: you can plug the Accessport into a computer with the USB cable and it will power-up. From there you can go into "help" and then "about" to see the serial number (the labels there are probably not completely accurate, but it was something like that). Flashing the tune into the car was a quick and painless process. Tip for anyone with a ADM car: after you flash, turn the ignition on, but do not start the car. Leave it on for 10 seconds. There's a note buried in their support docs about the throttle body sensor needing time to recalibrate after the flash. I did not know this and went straight into starting the car. Result: the engine cranked on the starter motor for 5-6 seconds before starting. It had never done that before and freaked me out. But, no harm done.
