Description

The COBB Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) Kit for your Fiesta ST is the easiest way to drastically improve power when coupled with tuning from the Accessport. Even when stock, the factory FMIC can be overwhelmed with heatsoak. By using a 55% larger core with streamlined piping that is a direct bolt-on solution, your Fiesta ST will come alive with charge air that's up to 100 DEGREES COOLER. Off the shelf maps are available for the Ford Fiesta ST Accessport so it's tuned right out of the box!!

This kit includes an updated core from the original 701500. Improvements include:

  • Casted Mounting Brackets
  • Silver Powder Coat Finish
  • Embossed COBB Logo
  • Increased Cooling Capacity

Why?

The COBB Ford Fiesta ST FMIC system is the single best bolt-on modification for the platform, allowing for much cooler boosted air temps that respond with healthy power increase when tuned with an Accessport.

Ford Front Mount Intercooler Kit Fiesta ST 2014-2019 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEAST MODE I installed my COBB front mount intercooler a couple weeks ago. I had already purchased the accessport, RMM, and cold air intake. So, with that being said, I am currently rockin STAGE 2 in my 2014 Fiesta ST. The sound is amazing, not too much blow off from intake, but it lets you know that 1.6l turbo is hissing and ready to go :) By adding the intercooler with stage 2 mapping, it turns this little rocket into a STRAIGHT MONSTER. The factory intercooler is a joke, it weighs about 5lbs. But the COBB intercooler ways about 30lbs and actually helps out on handling tight corners keeping the front end down a bit more. After driving hard for over 2 hours during the evening, I touched the hood of my car and it was ice cold, keeps engine temp down a ton. I live in California so by nighttime i mean 75 degrees. Instead of COBB shipping me a huge sticker i wish they would've sent a t shirt that i could wear around while i spank Mazdas,Mini Coopers,GTI's,BRZ's, etc. I already have a COBB license plate frame as well as a little sticker on the front windshield. Great product. Highly Recommend STAGE 3 COMING SOON!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade Installed this over the weekend. At this point I basically I have a full stage 3 package minus the cat-back exhaust. Overall I'm seeing about 50 ft-lbs of additional torque, less lag, and more consistent power. Would definitely recommend it. I attached some photos of the Cobb intercooler next to the stock intercooler so you can see how much thicker & taller the Cobb intercooler is. Performance: With the stock intercooler (especially with stage 2 flashed) I would see the charge air temps rise 20-30 degrees every time I accelerated hard. With the Cobb intercooler the charge temps barely move. Noise: If you are worried about getting more turbo-spooling noise, don't. If you are looking for more turbo-spooling noise, this won't make much difference. Get an open filtered intake (FS Werks for example) if that's what you want. I am hearing maybe 5% more spooling noise. I assume this is entirely from the hard-pipe kit and not the intercooler itself. Install: I am pretty handy, but no auto mechanic. I was a little worried when I saw that the entire front part of the car's body had to come off, but it was easier than I thought. It's more time consuming than difficult. The instructions are pretty clear. I did have one issue. The Cobb hose clamps for the hard-pipe kit tighten very slowly and initially I didn't tighten them enough, so I was getting a very loud whistle/squeak (like air leaking from a balloon) when I put my foot down on the gas. You will feel the clamps get significantly harder to turn when they are tightened all the way, so don't give up early like I did. Customer Service: I ordered this along with the exhaust and I think Cobb just plain forgot to ship the intercooler kit. They emailed me saying it shipped, but only the exhaust arrived. When I called support they "magically" had just gotten 1 kit in stock even though its normally back-ordered 3-4 weeks. Cobb was nice enough to overnight it to me which I'm sure cost over $100, so no harm done. I am really happy with their products, but I have had to call customer service about one issue or another every time that I have ordered from them. Its annoying, but I keep coming back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Key The Cobb FMIC is an absolute gem and I highly recommend it to all Fiesta ST owners. It feels amazing how much faster the car is now over stock and the best part is how confident I feel using Cobb products. I trust the workmanship and quality of materials used and can't wait to install their downpipe and CBE next!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Step Forward I purchased the FMIC with hard pipe kit last month. The quality of the kit is very good. The install went quickly without any issues. Along with a stage 2 flash the results were very good as well. I will be tracking the ST later this month and I look forward to solid reliable heat management.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have Bought this about 2 weeks ago and I can't say enough about how well it keeps the charge temps down and consistent. Even on scorchers out here in so cal. 2 or 3 blocks and I'm down to ambient. The difference between the stock intercooler and the cobb one is insane.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits great. No directions or video After the install the am happy with the the fit and performance. There was no directions and no video that I could find for the install for the "kit" part. It was easy enough to figure out but I still had to guess it n some of the parts. I am not a mechanic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from st2 is a blast The FMIC is amazing, but the CAI look like it was made by a completely different company. Such as the hose connections for the FMIC are nice looking with the Cobb logo, while the CAI connections look like they are from the spare parts bin at a chop shop.
