Mitsubishi Stage 1 Power Package EVO X 2008-2015 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy upgrade for noticeable power gains This is an easy upgrade (along with exhaust and intake) to get some noticeable power gains without going nuts or breaking the bank. The install for the AP3 was dead-easy. Just need to make sure to check the maps installed; if the one you're looking for is not a regular map that comes pre-loaded on the AP3, you'll need to download it first. Easy enough to do. Seat of the pants driving tells me my upgrades are working. It's great you can uninstall and go back to a stock map if needed for warranty work!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Products, Great Price Im new to the tuning world and after reading a bunch of forums this seemed like the perfect starter upgrade(guess that's why its called the stage 1 package). Install of the Cobb AP was very simple and i was data logging and changing gauges the second it was installed. The Access port manager is another a quick install on your computer and easy to use and extract data logs. The high flow filter was a nice and easy install( checked the video on YouTube just to be sure). I flashed the correct map and away i went. I have noticed a quicker turbo response when paired with my UICP. 5 stars for this package!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product but forgetting something First off it's a Cobb product which is always amazing in quality but since I do own a 2016 wrx and it has a accessport when you compared them together the wrx accessport has a lot more features that I wish and was hoping the one for the 2015 evo x had. But cause of that I do feel they neglected this version of the accessport and the Evo x has been out for a lot longer then the wrx so they had the time and cause of that 3 stars. Come on now for the price your close to a tuning session and I bought it only cause I wanted the same features the wrx has..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Device This was the first thing I bought when I got a Ralliart. This device made it so easy and simple to monitor all the data that I wanted to monitor. The quick access to download anything that was recorded to the computer was so convenient. It also was very easy to switch over to my EVO X when it was purchased. Just uninstalled it from the Ralliart and plugged it into the EVO. It was fast and easy. One thing I did not like was that the mount adhesive did not stay attached. I had the it mounted for a few months and then it started to peel from the mount itself. Overall the device is one of a kind. Everything in one device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible The access port is a fantastic tool to extract power from your car. The instructions and email layout to get you started are perfect. I couldn't think of a way to make it better. If you have any issues they answer the phone. Or the you tube videos they have developed are very informative. It helped me make my decision an easy one to buy this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed This product was amazing at first but lost it's value after finally deciding to get the pro tune. Gains were noticeable but the car never ran correctly after the accessport install. What I found was that many places in my area did not have an AWD dyno to take this product to the next step (protune). Due to this many supported the accessport but only for FWD and RWD. This is great if you want to go back to stock but eventually your mods may prevent that from happening. I agree with most and think that an improvement would be to allow install without flashing a map. This would add more value to the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tool There are so many upgrade options for the Evo X, it's hard to choose between them. In fact, I was advised against the Cobb AP by my mechanic, who also has an Evo X. However, I did some research and checked out some of Cobb's other upgrade options for the Evo and decided I liked what they had to offer and went ahead and got one for myself. What I really liked was the simplicity of the tuner. The fact that you can get off the shelf tunes, for those of us with basic set ups and even some of the more advanced set ups. The AP doesn't really require any mechanical ability whatsoever, which is good. Because I don't know much about turbos and I know even less about custom tuning. I was very impressed with the OTS (Off The Shelf) tune for 93 octane gas with the Cobb high flow air filter, which you can get at a great price with the AP. The boost in power was immediately noticeable, and it was pretty significant. The performance tune seems to optimize the torque curve more than HP, so between 2k and 5k RPM it pulls much harder. I can also hear my blow off valve now, which is awesome. Because I love that sound, and I couldn't hear it at all before. I'm also getting better gas mileage too, on the performance tune. There are performance and economy settings for each tune. I haven't tested the economy tune yet. But even with the performance setting, gas mileage has improved. The AP also has some other cool features, like the ability to display up to 7 gauges, like Ft/Lbs of Torque or boost, and record that information and save it. There are a bunch of really useful gauge settings. One thing I miss about my Eclipse was it had a mechanical and digital speedometer, now I have the AP set to display my speed. So I can tune it in just right for the cruise control and avoid getting a speeding ticket. It's not always easy to tell just how fast you're going when your speedometer goes up to 190 MPH. I've also got one for the throttle position. When I've tried to explain how a engine behaves, it's hard to do when you're just guessing where the throttle is at any given time. Now I can actually get a specific reading. Another thing I really like is the virtual dyno. You just select which gear you want to test in, the rev range and the AP will monitor your power output when you engage that gear and rev to the set RPM. It's really a cool little tool. It comes in a nice little pouch and with a mounting kit and a couple stickers. Really, for the power boost you get, even with the OTS tunes, it's well worth what you pay. And there are loads of Cobb certified pro tuners all over the US. So you can use it for fine tuning if you've got custom mods or if you just want to squeeze a bit more juice out of your stock set up. I've heard of a guy who is getting 360 HP with nothing but the Cobb intake kit and a pro tune with the AP. Another great thing about the AP is you can uninstall it before you take your car in for service if you want, and it will restore your factory ECU settings. There are only a couple of things that you should know if you're considering buying a Cobb AP. The most important thing is that you need a blue relay to replace the factory one for boost control. Check out the tutorial for the specific part number. If your original one shorts out, your fuel system could run super lean and burn up your engine. The OTS tunes are running higher boost than the factory setting and require this relay upgrade for safe operation. It's just a cheap $12 upgrade, but I didn't find out about it until after I got my AP. Cobb really should include it with the AP in my opinion. The only other thing is the increased level of boost and power will create more heat with your engine. The Difference is apparent if you check under the hood after running with the new tune for awhile. I would say its not unusual for that to happen. But it's something to keep an eye on. I played around with some of the various maps and ran virtual dynos for all of them. The basic map they recommend is the best. Which for me was Stage 1, 93 octane, Cobb High Flow Filter. My max HP and TQ both came in at 329. That was from several pulls. The HP actually averaged from 279-329 and the TQ ran pretty consistent around 329. I didn't do any dynos with the factory tune, however, the butt dyno was definitely registering a boost in power. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and I'm very optimistic about the potential for tuning with future upgrades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ralliart Tuning I have had my accessport for about 6 months. Stage one was noticeable but going to stage 2 with the EBCS is the biggest gain you will notice. Stock at the track I ran a 14.6 @93mph. Now with stage 2 my best time at the track is 13.8 @101mph. Im sure it will affect different cars differently but it worked great in my case. Very easy to install and great for logging and using the gauges. Hopefully they come out with some TCM capabilities soon for the Ralliart. That would be fantastic.
