*Results may vary. Power as tested on 2016 Golf R Manual using these identical calibrations. Generally speaking, the 91 octane calibration has a richer fuel curve and a less aggressive ignition advance map to help compensate for 91 octane fuel and/or less than ideal atmospheric conditions. The map designed for 93 octane is the most aggressive.

DSG Transmission Tuning:

The shift points at full throttle have been selected based on achieving the maximum torque to the wheels based on dyno results recoreded at COBB HQ.

COBB Aggressive:
• Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed. Forced upshifts disabled. Forced downshifts in manual disabled. Aggressive shift point change RPM above 2k mostly. Sport mode remains in 5th until 6200+. WOT shift points optimized for tuned is38 cars.

COBB Sport:
• Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed. Forced upshifts disabled. Forced downshifts in manual disabled. Sport shift point change, about 4-500rpm higher than stock. WOT shift points optimized for is38 cars.

COBB OEM+:
• Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed.

Simulated Stock:
• Stock-like DSG behavior. Does not uninstall Accessport.

Simple Installation:  Everything is included for the simple installation!  Intuitive on-screen instructions identify your exact vehicle and available maps.

Simple Uninstall:  Revert your ECU to exactly as it was before with the easy to use Uninstall option from the main menu.

Trouble Codes:  Read engine trouble codes to diagnose issues.  Clear them when resolved.  Prevent expensive trips to the dealership.

Change Maps:  Store up to 100 maps from our OTS map database or from your favorite COBB tuner and quickly switch between them for any need.

Volkswagen Specific Features:

Adjustable Traction Control: Adjust target traction slip on the fly (Slots 1-8) and maximize tire grip to best suit given track conditions (wet/damp/dry/street/slip/burnout/etc). Note: Feature must be enabled in ECU calibration for use.

Flat Foot Shift: Improve shift times and keep boost built during shifts. Flat Foot Shifting can hold engine RPM at a set RPM between 3000-8000 RPM during shifting. This feature is enabled in COBB OTS maps.

Launch Control: Adjust Launch Control on the fly with 6 pre-configured RPM slots to dial in launch based on track conditions and vehicle configuration. Enabled in OTS Maps and configurable within Accesstuner Pro.


DSG Transmission Flash:

DSG Transmission Flash:  Flash the DSG module with a COBB OTS map to improve the shift and driving characteristics. Potential improvements include increased minimum shift points, increased auto shift points, and increased shift firmness. DSG Map Notes.

DSG Transmission Service Tools: Use the TCM Service tools to adjust clutch touch points, or trigger a clutch relearn to account for clutch wear, slip, or even increased power applications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great intake; Love the turbo noise! Just installed this last night. It took me about 4 hours, and I don't feel it was all that challenging. The most difficult part was attaching the velocity stack (step 8). Tight spots and it's hard to get a tool in there. Also, I recommend not dropping your lock-washer, because you'll never see it again and you only get the two. Once the install is done, it's pretty cool. The actual filter is huge, which is good. The snorkel and box look really good under the hood. It doesn't muffle any turbo noise and I love it. You hear every spool and every blow-off and those are music to my ears. I switched to Stage 1+ from Stage 1 that night. I don't want to say I noticed *that* much of an increase in power, but there's definitely some. Overall, 10/10 great bolt-on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! COBB's SF Intake is awesome! It made my GOLF R come alive. After installing the SF intake with the existing Accessport, I noticed a considerable change in the way the car behaved. The intake sound is not loud (or even noticeable while cruising). You can hear it working during acceleration and the occasional muted bark from the turbo discharge. The intake looks great as well. I highly recommend this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely awful install, yet surprisingly worth the effort I just installed this today on my MK7 Golf R. I have to admit, the install was torture. Not only was it difficult (I highly recommend a second person to help with some parts), but I did not get all of the required screws to put the thing together. Luckily I live a couple miles away from a hardware store and was able to get the required parts (after 3 different runs to the store, I should add). In the end I was missing almost all of the smaller screws (I think the M4 ones) and a lot of washers. In addition to this, the online instructions are pretty bad and hard to follow. I ended up braking the tube barb that comes with it because of the bad instructions, but the hardware store came in handy for that too. I wish there was a video guide made by COBB or at least more detailed pictures on the guide. The air filter also is pushed down by the top of the airbox and I'm not sure if I made a mistake or if this is just poor design. HOWEVER, I was absolutely blown away with the final result. If it weren't for the amazing results, this would probably be getting a 1 or 2 star review. The intake noises are extremely loud with the windows down and the "WOOOSSSHHHH" of the intake is addicting to listen to. As an added bonus, every time I let off the gas I hear a loud "PSHHH" noise, similar to a blowoff valve but a deeper tone. Performance wise, my butt dyno can feel a small increase in power, and according to the Accessport, I'm making in between 3 and 5 more pounds of boost than before (when running Stage 1 High Boost with the intake, I was just on the Stage 1 flash before). Definitely worth the effort and trips to the hardware store.
