Today, we are excited to announce full tuning support for the 2022-2023 Volkswagen Jetta GLI.  This consists of the Accessport with included Stage 1 Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Maps, which are 50-State Legal.  The power gains are significant, and the maps safely work in conjunction with factory DSG tuning and within the torque limits of the factory clutch on manual transmission cars.  DSG Tuning is also available via the Accessport by way of OEM+, Sport, Aggressive, and Simulated Stock Maps.   COBB Custom Features: (Traction Control, Launch Control and Flat Foot Shifting).  Accesstuner Pro custom tuning support allows you to go beyond the COBB OTS maps for a custom-tailored map for your GLI.

Accessport Tuning

Our Volkswagen Accessports are typically available in two flavors – one that supports engine tuning only and one that adds DSG tuning.  If you choose to purchase the ECU-only option at first, you can always add DSG tuning at a later time.

Engine Tuning

The 2.0L turbocharged engine found in the GLI already serves to make the cars behave like a wolf in sheep’s clothing in stock form but with the right set of simple and effective aftermarket tuning they become more like a rabid saber tooth tiger in sheep’s clothing.  There may not be a better bang for your buck tuning platform on the market and the Accessport makes unleashing that potential as easy as possible.

Unlock power hidden within the vehicle by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations. Transmission Tuning

The 2.0 TSI engines respond incredibly well to tuning but making more power from the engine isn’t the only way to increase performance. Some of that added power is wasted if you don’t also improve the responsiveness and strength of the transmission that transfers that power to the wheels.

Off-The-Shelf Maps and Datalogging

Improved clutch clamping force and reduced shift times are applied to Drive, Sport and Manual modes within each map. Meaning that the factory Sport and Manual modes feel even sharper and more dynamic when pushing the car to its limits. Yet, the COBB OTS DSG calibrations make their biggest impact is where you spend 90% of your time driving…on the street in the Drive mode. Read below to see how each available map offers significant and progressive adjustments to the transmission’s behavior. The Off The Shelf DSG Maps for the 7-speed transmission come in 4 different flavors along with several nice features to top it off. The map options perfectly balance the hyper-aggressive Sport settings and wake up the normally sluggish factory Drive mode while also enhancing the manual paddle shifting experience to give you the most direct and responsive amount of control regardless of your driving style and needs. Simulated Stock v100
Simulated Stock Calibration. For use when stock-like behavior is desired. DOES NOT UNINSTALL ACCESSPORT FROM THE ECU.

COBB OEM+ v100
Torque limits removed. Gear display enabled in all modes. Shift delay in manual removed. Shift time decreased. Shortened Shift Times. Automatic Kick-down downshift disabled in manual mode. Launch Counter/Limiter Disabled. Shift schedules remain STOCK.

COBB Sport v100
OEM+ Features along with optimized standard drive mode shift schedules. ~1500 to 2200 RPM minimum upshift points compared to 1100 to 1500 RPM stock. SPORT mode shift schedule remains stock.

COBB Aggressive v100
OEM+ Features along with optimized standard drive mode shift schedules. ~1700 to 2400 RPM minimum upshift points compared to 1100 to 1500 RPM stock. SPORT mode shift schedule remains stock.

One of the most exciting aspects of tuning with the Accessport is the ability to utilize our COBB Custom Features such as Launch Control, Flat Foot Shifting, Burnout Mode, and Traction Control.
