Introducing Accessport tuning for Subaru’s 2023-2026* Ascent!  We initially launched Ascent tuning support on the Accessport back in 2019 as it was the first in Subaru’s lineup to receive the then all-new FA24F power plant.  That development experience proved fruitful when diving into tuning the newest generation of WRX as well.  This time, it’s the Ascent’s turn to benefit.  In 2023, along with a facelift, Subaru changed the ECU in the turbocharged Ascent & Outback to more closely resemble that found in the production VB WRX.  Our development on FA24F powered Outback XT & Wilderness over the past couple of years has set us up perfectly to roll into adding tuning support for the 2023+ Ascent.  As an added bonus, COBB CAN Flex Fuel kits are available for the newly released vehicles as well.

*Note for 2026 Ascent. Model Year 2026 is not available for sale in California at this time. Off the Shelf Maps for MY 2026 will be available for download from the website only and not included on the Accessport. Stay Tuned as we work towards CARB approved 50-State status.

Performance Maps

For those looking to add a bit of power to their Ascent, two versions of our Stage 1 OTS map are available for the Subaru Ascent.  A Stage 1 87+ map is ideal for those who want to continue putting lower grade fuel in the tank but may want a slight increase in power.  This calibration can safely be used with any fuel ranging from 87-93 octane.  For those looking for a larger bump in power over stock, the Stage 1 93 map file provides even more power and torque gains across the board.  This calibration does require users to run 93 octane fuel to prevent unwanted knock events.  During development, we discovered that Subaru truly calibrated the ECU to use an 87 octane fuel and testing with higher octane fuel on the factory calibration did not impact the overall power of the engine, though it did clean up occasional minor knock events.

COBB CAN FLEX FUEL UPGRADE ASCENT 2023-2025

The COBB CAN Gateway Flex Fuel Upgrade offers true plug-and-play installation and allows for seamless integration of flex fuel for the 2023-2025 Subaru Ascent.

CAN Gateway
The included COBB CAN Gateway provides the means for aftermarket sensor data to be injected into your car’s CAN system where it can be absorbed by the ECU and utilized in either a COBB Off The Shelf Map or custom calibration. The Gateway itself is constructed of billet aluminum encasing a precision manufactured PCB. The included bracket allows for a straight-forward bolt-in installation on supported cars.

Vehicle Specific Harness
Each CAN Gateway Kit includes a vehicle specific wiring harness. This specific kit is compatible with 2023-2025 Ascent. It consists of a cable that runs into the cabin and utilizes our CAN adapter which allows integration to be a plug-and-play affair. Installation of this component requires removal of your car’s Radio/Cockpit Control Unit.

CAN Ethanol Sensor Kit
The CAN Ethanol Sensor Kit includes an ethanol sensor with mounting bracket, fuel lines with quick connect fittings, and a wiring harness that connects to the CAN Gateway.

SUBARU CAN FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR KIT WRX 2022-2025, ASCENT 2023-2025

A plug and play solution when using the COBB CAN Gateway enabling users to monitor low side Fuel Pressure on a Custom Accessport monitor.  The Fuel Pressure Sensor Kit is REQUIRED when using COBB Stage 1+ Flex Fuel OTS Maps.

The Fuel Pressure Sensor Kit uses OEM quality connectors, making fit and finish second to none. Included in this kit is a 0-100psi Fuel Pressure Sensor, a bespoke quick-disconnect billet adapter, and a wiring harness that allows for plug-and-play installation with the COBB CAN Gateway.
