BMW N54 AccessPORT v4.01 BETA Maps Available

We have just released a minor BETA Off-The-Shelf Map update for the BMW N54 AccessPORT. The new v4.01 maps correct the DME logic that was causing DTC P2D59 codes as well as addresses the under-boost issue some vehicles were experiencing.

Please note that these are BETA maps and may or may not perform as intended across all vehicles. This BETA release is intended to gather feedback from early adopters and incorporate it into the maps prior to final release. If you are unwilling to experience potential performance inconsistencies or provide constructive feedback on these BETA maps, please continue to use the General Release v3.01 maps until the v4.01 maps are finalized and come out of beta.

Maps are available in the BMW AccessPORT Map Database. Simply click the red BETA Maps button, review the acceptance page, and click the I Accept button to be taken to the BETA v4.01 maps. If you are unfamiliar with the process of downloading maps, transferring them to your AccessPORT and flashing the ECU, please review our Step-by-Step Map Download and Transfer Tutorial.

  1. I’ve just purchased your product ( AccessPort) for my 1series M coupe. Could you tell me approximately what type of Hp & torque gains I should have?

    • Peak power gains are going to be around the 4% HP and 15% torque mark, but you are getting more power across the entire rev range. We should have new mapping soon to make smoother power, as well as mapping for Stage 1, Stage 1+, Stage 2, and Stage 2+.

    • Stage 1 is for a stock car, Stage 1+ is for an upgraded FMIC, Stage 2 is for a car with downpipes, and Stage 2+ is for a car with downpipes, intakes, and a FMIC. The FMIC is the biggest restriction to power, so it’s a great first mod (after the AccessPORT of course).

  2. I just purchased AP for my non sport 2009 E93 335i n54.
I do not have an oil cooler. Is it safe for me to install Cobb AP?

    • Yes, you should be just fine without the oil cooler on a daily driven car. You might need to think about upgrading if you track the car or drive it harder for longer periods of time though.

  3. What meth system can we use with Cobb? I have looked at Snow, Aquamkst and BMS. Do you have a flash for meth? Thanks! Love my 535xi 6MT with Fmic, catback and Injen intake. Car pulls unbelievably hard especially in third gear!

    • Any Methanol Injection system should work, it just comes down to which one offers the features you’re looking for. We do not have any maps that are compatible with methanol injection so you would definitely need to have the car custom tuned by one of our Protuners.

    • Our BMW Race maps were meant to be used with either an E30 blend or 100oct race fuel. We would highly recommend a custom Protune when using a Methanol Injection kit.
