COBB AccessPORT for 2009 Subarus

2009 Subaru high performance line-up gets access to increased power

COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the AccessPORT for 2009 Subaru Impreza STi, Impreza 2.5GT Legacy GT, and Legacy GT Spec B with the Impreza WRX and Forester XT soon to follow. The AccessPORT for the 2009 Subarus is the first hand-held device available that performs an ECU reflash through the vehicle’s OBDII port. Just plug it in, load the map and go! Faster!

The AccessPORT provides owners of these 2009 Subaru models the ability to unlock power hidden within the factory ECU. Performance gains across the entire powerband can be quickly realized in the short time it takes to flash the vehicle’s ECU with the AccessPORT. No tools are required. No additional “piggy-back” hardware. No mailing the factory ECU across the country. No vehicle downtime. No waiting, and waiting, and waiting! Just plug the AccessPORT in, flash the ECU and enjoy the thrill of increased torque and horsepower!

Flashing the ECU is just the start of what the AccessPORT is capable of. Set the AccessPORT to Performance mode to capture 0-60MPH times, ¼ Mile times, ¼ Mile trap speeds and simulate a dynamometer. Load the Fuel Economy Map for long drives and monitor fuel economy on the fly. Switch over to Live Data and choose a gauge to monitor, such as coolant temperature, intake temperature, ignition advance, Mass Airflow and many more. Use the Troubleshooting mode to diagnose issues by reading the factory codes and resetting the ECU once the issues have been resolved.

The AccessPORT can be used to eliminate separation anxiety for those times you are away from your car. Protect your investment when out on the town by quickly loading the Valet map to prevent the engine from revving above 3,200 rpm. Load the Anti-Theft map when you park to make it impossible to start. And in the event the car must be returned to the stock configuration, the AccessPORT can be completely removed and the ECU restored to its factory condition.

The AccessPORT will continue to meet future tuning needs as well. Staged maps can be downloaded from the COBB Tuning website to take advantage of popular Subaru modifications. For unique configurations, ranging from mild to wild, any of the COBB Professional Tuners can custom tune each car to extract its maximum potential.

The AccessPORT from COBB Tuning is the most comprehensive hand-held ECU flashing, monitoring and managing device available for the 2009 Subarus.

  1. I drive an ’09 WRX Sedan and was wondering if a Stage 2 kit is available for it?

If it isn’t do you know when it might be available and what the HP/TQ gains might be over Stage 1?

    TIA,

    Andy

  2. Hi,

Are there plans of releasing an AP for the Forester 09 XT EDM? Currently our options are just Ecutek, Unichip piggyback and hopefully Open Ecu. Im all for Cobb AP if you guys make it available.

  3. Any chance you will be creating a map for the naturally aspirated 2.5i? (2009 Legacy 2.5i specifically).

I’ve seen very little out there for this configuration.

    Thanks

  4. I own a european spec 2008 STi, would that Accessport work on my car? I do have down and center pipe fitted in my car along with an air intake and i need to get the car tuned as i do get the check engine sign on every time i push the car hard due to the boost cut once i shift fifth gear..

  5. Hi Guys just wondering if you have any the Cobb Accessport for 2007 Subaru impreza 2.0i Luxury?? If there is please let me know.. Thanx Maz..

  6. I have your turboback and Ap for the 09 and it makes my car a totally different animal. love it. cant wait to get my suspension from you guys

  7. Hey,

I’ve heard rumors of a AccessPORT being developed for the EJ253 that’s in the 2008 2.5i (although I’ve also read it’s for ’06+ 2.5is). Is there any truth to this? My turbo friends all swear by their AccessPORTs, and I’ve been very satisfied with your springs in the six months I’ve had them on my car.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

  8. Hi.

  9. Hi.

I’m wondering,(like others),if you guys are working or will be working on an AccessPort map for the N/A Imprezas. I haven’t seen much out there for an 09 Impreza 2.5i Outback Sport unfortunately. Would be very interested in someones feedback.

    Thanks

  10. before i buy an accessport…

Im going to buy a 09/10 wrx and I will buy an AEM intake(+36HP), since its Cali legal, and a Magnaflow exhaust beacuse its factory backed and lifetime warranty…

    BUT

I need you guys to add an Intake addition to the Stage 1/2 Map,

Help us out, most people who buy this are going to have an intake already, thats normally the first Mod!! just add more fuel and add to the foot note ” requires bigger injectors or bigger fuel pump.”

thanks, look foward to using your product

  11. John, buddy if you think an intake will give you +36hp, then you should invest in a new horn, it will pump up the torque by about +40ftlbs

  12. First off some of you guys need to do a little research especially on adding a cold air intake with out tuning the ecu it can damage the engine for just about anything you do the ecu will need to be reprogrammed
I was wondering if an 08 STI can have a different program for each part of the SI drive

  13. I have an 09 WRX 5 door and I have uploaded stage 1 93. At first I had seen drastic changes in power and fuel economy. I had to bring my car in for service so I reflashed the stock map. Once service was complete I reflashed the stage 1 93 map again and, although I still have the power, my fuel economy has decreased significantly from the first time I flashed the ECU. Is this normal? or is there something I should be concerned about going on here? Thanks!

    • Trevor,

It is hard to say what could be going on. It may be that you are just driving harder than you realize or you could even have a small boost leak. Can you do a datalog and take a look at your fuel trims? Do you have access to a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor? These are good places to start if you suspect something is mechanically wrong. The tune hasn’t changed but clearly your car has.
