New Subaru Turbocharger Heat Shield

A turbocharger heat shield acts as a barrier for radiant heat produced by the turbocharger’s turbine housing. Deflecting this heat down protects key components in the engine bay which rely upon cooler ambient temperatures.  The COBB Tuning Heatshield is a replacement for the factory turbo heat shield found on most Subarus. Installing a turbocharger heat shield goes hand in hand with an aftermarket downpipe install as the factory shields will not fit without modification. An all-new Subaru Turbo Heatshield is replacing two outgoing part numbers and consolidating vehicle fitment into one part number.

This new heatshield offers updated design features for better fitment and easier installation.  A slight taper towards the rear allows for additional clearance around the main wiring loom on 2015+ STIs.  The forward mounting hole on the outer side of the shield is now slotted to allow for easier installation.  Aside from these changes and consolidated part numbers, this is the same quality 304 Stainless Steel heatshield that Subarus have loved for years.
Vehicle Fitment:
  • 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX
  • 2004-2019 Subaru WRX STI
  • 2004-2008 Subaru Forester XT
