Our unending ambition for the Accessport is to develop the most complete tuning solution for every platform we support. The COBB Tuning Porsche team is proud to announce that we are another step closer to that goal with the latest release for the premier German performance brand. The Accessport now offers 718 and 991.2 owners the ability to flash the factory PDK controller with COBB optimized Off The Shelf Map files for the following vehicles.

Accessport Options

The applicable Accessports are now offered with the option to include PDK tuning right out of the box, or the PDK features can be purchased and updated remotely for those that already have an ECU tune via the Accessport installed on a car. See the part numbers and pricing below.

PDK Off the Shelf Maps

Accessports with PDK Flashing enabled will have a variety of Off The Shelf Maps pre-loaded.  Choose the best map for your driving style or switch to a more aggressive map for spirited driving sessions or your next HPDE.

These charts demonstrate the improvements in shift scheduling to make the best use of each gear while keeping the engine within the ideal powerband in both Normal and Sport settings.

COBB OEM+

  • Race Start Enabled:
    • Normal, Sport, Sport+ Modes.
  • Decreased Shift Time
  • Idle Creep Disabled
  • Kickdown Disabled
  • Dual Paddle Neutral Enabled

COBB Sport

  • Race Start Enabled:
    • Normal, Sport, Sport+ Modes.
    • RPM setpoint for Full Race Launch Mode optimized
  • Decreased Shift Time
  • Kickdown Disabled
  • Dual Paddle Neutral Enabled
  • Shift Schedules:
    • Enhanced shift schedules during more aggressive driving conditions (higher throttle input)
    • Normal driving conditions retain stock shift schedule.

COBB Sport+

  • Clutch Pressure: Increased under full load
  • Shift Schedules:
    • Enhanced shift schedules during more aggressive driving conditions (higher throttle input)
    • Enhanced shift schedules  during less aggressive driving conditions (lower throttle input)
  • Use only if stock clutch clamping pressure does not function in your application.

PDK Relearn

Over time clutches can wear and the thickness can decrease.  Performing a PDK relearn will help the PDK verify clutch thickness and position.  This is particularly useful after a clutch replacement or in cars with higher mileage. This demonstration is from the previous 991.1 models but is very similar to the latest update that adds this feature to the 718 and 991.2 PDK Accessports.
