Accessport Tuning for Porsche Macan 2.0L Base

Our COBB Porsche team is excited to announce the availability of Accessport tuning support for Porsche’s 2.0L Macan and Macan T. Featuring a version of VAG’s EA888 2.0L motor, the Macan base is ripe for an aftermarket tune.  Over the past decade we have amassed thousands of hours of experience tuning this motor in the Volkswagen Golf GTI & R.  This means you can expect high quality and safe power gains for your Porsche Macan Base.   Moving forward, the Accessport for Porsche Macan will also include support and Off The Shelf Maps for Porsche’s entry level Macan.  With maximum gains of up to 25% HP and TQ over stock, the Accessport and Stage 1 calibrations completely transform the Macan.

The Accessport V3 is the world’s best selling, most flexible ECU upgrade solution for Porsche. Unlock power hidden within the vehicle by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations. Upgrade forever with off-the-shelf (OTS) calibrations. It’s the last engine management solution you’ll ever need.  Accessport tuning support for the Porsche Macan Base is split across two separate Accessport part numbers.  Support for early model year cars is shared with their higher trim S, GTS, and Turbo counterparts while support for updated 95b.2 vehicles is offered on a stand-alone device.

Macan Base Power Gains

The COBB Calibration team is able to extract huge gains out of the Turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine in the Macan.  Included Stage 1 Off The Shelf Maps support 91 and 93 octane fuels, power potential increasing with octane level.  As you can see in the dyno chart below, output is substantially increased across the entire power band.

The face-lifted 95B.3 Macan introduced in 2022 also received a major update in the powertrain department, VWs 4th Generation EA888 Evo4 which provides a nice bump in stock power but is also much more ripe for tuning.

Macan Base Stage 1 Power Package

The Porsche Macan Stage 1 Power Package for 2017-2018 Macan Base includes the COBB Accessport and High Flow Intake Filter. The handheld Accessport V3 has a large, full color, higher resolution screen which allows you to monitor up to six parameters in real time. Customize the layout (set up a race, street or dyno gauge cluster) and mounting options (choose from 1,000s of standard vehicle mounts). Of course, all of the great COBB tuning is included – with enough space for 100 calibrations. This is your new Accessport – and maybe the last one you’ll ever need.

Each High-Flow Filter flows an incredible 640 cubic feet of air a minute. The filters being able to move this much air makes them effective to over 800 horsepower in the V6 powered Macan. To take it one step further, the filtration media is tested using the ISO 5011 Fine Testing Standard to a minimum of 97% efficiency rating.

COBB High Flow Filters are designed to permit high flow rates, maximize filtration and provide long life filter. Using proprietary woven cotton and metal mesh with a precision molded rubber base, the COBB High Flow Filter ensures that only clean air passes into your engine for maximum efficiency. Why not treat your car to fresh air with a COBB High Flow Filter and let it reward you with increased power and fuel economy!

  1. Just installed the Stage 1 for 91 octanes on my 2023 Macan Base. The “seat of the pants” seemed quicker about 2,500 RPM. Next will be to do a 0-60 and see if the Stage 1 improves upon the 6.0 seconds stock.

  2. Wondering if you guys have abandoned the Base 2.0L Macan for tuning? Just picked up a 2024 and, having owned a Cobb for my BMW, would jump at one for the base Macan.

    Any updates to share?

    • Hi Rui!

The Base trim Macan support took a bit of a back seat for the past couple of years while we worked on some other projects. Luckily, we actually JUST picked that project back up about a month ago and are making great progress toward releasing support for you. Current ETA for that is early-mid October. Keep an eye out on our website and social channels for that announcement.

  3. Please update for 2020 Base Macan. More Base Macans on the road than any other model.

    • Not yet! We intend to offer support for the newer Base model Macans but do not have an ETA at this time, sorry!

  4. What increase in torque and HP can I expect on my 2018 Porsche Macan?

The graphs provided don’t have reference numbers.

    • Hi Keith!

I’ve updated to our newer version of dyno chart with reference numbers.
