Redline Time Attack – Rd. 1 Buttonwillow
Last weekend some of the COBB team headed out to Buttonwillow raceway to take part in the first round of the Redline Time Attack series. We brought our 2008 STi and EVO X demo cars for ride alongs and our Mazdaspeed3 for ride alongs and to compete in the Front Wheel Drive Street class in Time Attack.
While we love building and seeing all-out Time Attack cars, the reality is the overwhelming majority of our parts are designed for daily driven street use. This is why we’ve often chosen to compete our demo cars in a Street class. It demonstrates what is possible by using our parts on a car you can drive to and from the track on the weekend and commute to work during the week.
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our own Billy Brooks who piloted our Mazdaspeed3 to a Street Class win, 4 seconds ahead of the 2nd place car!
