The COBB Tuning Ford Focus Project – Part 1

The COBB Tuning Ford Focus Project started as a collaboration with Ford Motor Company to demonstrate what could be done with the current Ford Focus SE. In Part 1, you’ll hear about how we were chosen by Ford to build a Modified Class Time Attack vehicle, why we are excited for the new Focus ST, and how the project is coming to life. Don’t forget to stay tuned for updates on tuning, testing, and potential future race dates! If you want to know more details about the build, check out our earlier COBB Tuning Ford Focus Revealed posting and don’t forget to leave a comment below to let us know what you think.

  1. Hi

How is part 2 coming together? I am really excited to know what it can do and how it sounds so please can you make a video of the car on the dyno? Thank you and good luck.

  2. Hello,
great project, interesting to see what can be done with a Focus.

regarding your comments on weight saving, what corner weight values did you eventually achieve?

    best wishes for 2012

  3. Where did you get the ecu tuner?
I show non available for 2012’s anywhere.
need to get my hands on one for my project car

    • We don’t have anything available for the non-turbo Focus from Ford, sorry for the bad news! Our race version uses a stand alone ECU.

  4. I have done some research as to who is on top of the Ford Focus ST. I is my opinion that Cobb has the most knowledge about this car…that is why I have chosen Cobb for all my upgrades for my Focus ST….keep up the good work guys!
