Volkswagen MK8 GTI Accessport Tuning
The wait is over! We are excited to announce the availability of full VW tuning support for the Mk8 GTI! The Accessport, Off The Shelf Maps, and Accesstuner Pro tuning software make extracting more power from your GTI seamless. Along with the refreshed interior, the updated drivetrain provides great potential for performance enthusiasts like ourselves. We’ve seen the excitement from enthusiast community and the capabilities the MK8 has to offer. Compared to the previous MK7/7.5, this new generation MK8 makes more power and torque, but it feels lackluster in factory form. This is because the MK8 is very refined and elegant directly delivered from Volkswagen. That’s where we come in with the Accessport. You’ll be able to reflash our performance tune to your car in the driveway and be on your way with a big smile on your face.
Supported Vehicles:
- 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk8) DSG USDM
- 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk8) MT USDM
- 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk8) DSG USDM
- 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk8) MT USDM
VLK-005 ACCESSPORT
Once the Accessport is installed to your car, you will unlock a plethora of features on top of turning up the power with the pre-loaded Off The Shelf Maps. The Accessport has a large, full-color display, where you can live monitor ECU data, displaying up to 6 different parameters at a time. In addition, the Accessport can datalog user-defined monitors as a file that can be later reviewed on the computer. You can also set a shift light to be displayed on the Accessport! You will also have access to a few troubleshooting tools such as reading DTC codes and check the Emissions I/M Readiness Monitors. If you want to personally customize your Accessport, the boot-up image can be changed to whatever you want!
Supporting COBB Off The Shelf Maps are pre-loaded on the Accessport and can also be downloaded from the Maps section of our website after configuring your applicable vehicle. For additional information on COBB OTS Maps, see the Map Notes Page.

COBB OTS calibrations have been 3rd-party emissions tested and have received and Executive Order (D-660) from CARB. This means the Accessport and OTS Maps are emissions legal in all 50 states, including California.
As you can see, there are significant gains with the COBB Stage1 off-the-shelf (OTS) maps compared to stock. With 91 octane fuel, you will respectfully see an increase of 20%hp/10% torque over stock. There are very impressive gains in torque as these vehicles are very responsive to engine tuning and calibrations. Tuning the car brings much more life to it, and it begs you to strive for more.
Accesstuner Pro HL
With the launch of the Accessport and Off The Shelf Maps for the MK8 GTI, custom tuning is possible via Accesstuner Pro HL for Authorized Protuners. This will allow you to go beyond the COBB OTS maps for a custom-tailored map for your specific car!
While we were in development for ECU Tuning, we also made our Signature Redline Intake System for the MK8 GTI. A nice paring to go with this intake is a Hood Strut Kit, that way the hood prop does not have to rest on your nice and new Carbon Fiber Air Box. A few things crossed over from the previous MK7/7.5 such as the Redline Carbon Fiber Engine Cover and the ABS Module Heatshield that will fit the MK8 GTI.
We also offer a Stainless Steel and Titanium Catback Exhaust System for the MK8 GTI. For those who purchased the Titanium exhaust, we offer a brushed finish tip if you want to change it up from the standard blued-tips.
Is the 2024 model year GTIs currently not supported ?
We have not had a 2024 MY GTI or Golf R in the shop yet to confirm functionality. It is likely they have new ECU definitions and will require some work to be supported.

When will you have support for the 2024 gti been waging patiently apr came out with there’s already.
Support is available, it’s actually the same as 2023. Just waiting on CARB updates to make support “Official”.

Okay just asking cause when I hook it up it denies me
2024 support official yet?
We do support some 2024 ECUs. If you know your ROM ID (Box Code) we can confirm if the Accessport will work for you.
Marshall@COBB
Did you guys release the maps yet for the 2024 mk8 gti
Is the 8y0906264e – 0001 supported?
Hey Caleb,
We do have that ROM and the Accessport would be able to identify and install to a car/ECU with it.
