Volkswagen Updates : New OTS Maps, Table and Monitor Changes

DSC_4639

Our Volkswagen team has been working on map, firmware, and software updates for currently supported 2010-2014 Volkswagen GTIs.  Most notable for end users will be new (v103) Off The Shelf Maps, added monitors, and minor updates to our Accesstuner software.

V103 Off The Shelf Maps

This new iteration of OTS maps utilizes updated MAF compensation logic with the use of newly added tables.  This is particularly important for vehicles with the COBB Big SF Intake and should clear up issues with high fuel trims when using the Stage1+SF or Stage 2 maps.  The v103 maps also include some minor updates to fueling logic which should lead to more consistent fueling across the board.  Additional information regarding these maps can be found on the Map Notes Page.  Maps can be accessed by updating Accessport firmware to 1.7.3.0-12873(or newer ) or by downloading maps directly from the Maps Section of the COBB website.

Data Monitor Changes

In our continued effort to develop the most versatile tuning solution for the Mk6 GTI, we have added new monitors and made changes to existing monitors as seen below.

New Monitors:

  • Injection End Angle
  • LPFP Pressure Request
  • Requested Load
  • MAF Period
  • Throttle Pressure Ratio
  • LPFP Actual Duty Cycle
  • MAF Correction Map Interpolation
  • MAF Corrrection Factor

Updated Name and Precision for:

  • Rail Pressure Actual
  • Rail Pressure Maximum
  • Rail Pressure Target
  • Rail Pressure Commanded

Removed Monitors:

  • Manifold Air Temperature

Accesstuner Updates

To go along with the updated monitors in Accessport firmware, the Accesstuner software sees similar updates along with a group of new tables.  The Volkswagen Accesstuner welcome screen also has a minor update to a new image file.  To utilize these updates, ensure Accesstuner is on version 1.9.1.0-12873 or newer.

  • HPFP I Component
  • HPFP P Component
  • LPFP Maximum Duty Cycle
  • AFR Correction (efficiency)

  1. Hey guys, do you guys know if you are planning on releasing accessport support for the 2015 golf 1.8t within the next year or so? I’m looking at tuning my gf’s car and if there are plans in the pipeline I’d rather wait for accessport support rather than going with something like APR. Thanks!

    • Hey Matt, we do not currently have plans to support the 1.8t TSI cars. It’s possible that will change in the future, however I doubt it would be available within a year. Sorry for the bad news!
