The AccessPORT provides owners of 2010 Subaru STI vehicles the ability to unlock power hidden within the factory ECU. Performance gains across the entire powerband can be quickly realized in the short time it takes to flash the vehicle’s ECU with the AccessPORT. No tools are required. No additional “piggy-back” hardware. No mailing the factory ECU across the country. No vehicle downtime. No waiting. Just plug the AccessPORT in, flash the ECU and enjoy the thrill of increased torque and horsepower!

Flashing the ECU for increased performance is just the start of what the AccessPORT is capable of. Set the AccessPORT to Performance mode to capture 0-60MPH times, ¼ Mile times and Trap Speeds. Switch over to Live Data and choose a gauge to monitor, such as; coolant temperature, intake air temperature, throttle position, intake cam advance, exhaust cam retard, MAF voltage, injector pulse width and many more. Use the Troubleshooting mode to diagnose issues by reading the factory codes and resetting the system once the issues have been resolved.

The AccessPORT can be used to eliminate separation anxiety for those times you are away from your car. Protect your investment when out on the town by quickly loading the Valet map to prevent the engine from revving above
3,200 rpm. Load the Anti-Theft map when you park to make it impossible to start. And in the event the car must be returned to the stock configuration, the AccessPORT can be completely removed and the ECU restored to is factory condition.

The AccessPORT from COBB Tuning is the most comprehensive hand-held ECU flashing, monitoring and managing device available for the Subaru STI. Satisfy your hunger for more power. Access the Potential of your STI today!

  1. Quick update: We’ve discovered a bug in the firmware and have reverted to the previous version of the firmware until this gets resolved. We plan to have the 2010 STI firmware back online and available later today.

    Expect more info here shortly…

  2. The bug that was discovered is part of the AccessPORT Updater process. Here is the temporary work around to get 2010 STI support functioning on an AP-SUB-003 AccessPORT:

    A. If you have a working AP-SUB-003 unit.

    1. Launch AP Updater without the AP connected to the computer.

1a. If it starts updating itself (you will see that it’s download data, with a dialog box with 2 progress bars), let it finish doing that.

    2. Once it’s done updating and gives you back the control, go to Tools-> Options
    3. Check both of the following boxes, under “Beta Options:”

    “Check for beta AccessPORT Updater?”
    “Check for beta AccessPORT firmware?”

    4. Click on “OK”. The options box will go away.
    5. Click on “Update” on the main screen. Plug in your AccessPORT when asked.

This will allow you to update your AP to firmware version 1.5.0.3-12163. This firmware has 2010 STI support.

    B. If your AP is currently stuck in the “Updating” mode.

    1. Launch AP Updater without the AP connected to the computer.
    2. Go to Tools -> Options menu.
    3. UNCHECK both of the following boxes, under “Beta Options:”

    “Check for beta AccessPORT Updater?”
    “Check for beta AccessPORT firmware?”

    4. Click on “OK” to commit to the changes. The options box will go away.
    5. Click on “Update” on the main screen. Plug in your AccessPORT when asked.

    – This will revert your AP to the previous firmware (version 1.5.0.3-12013).

    6. Now follow steps in Part A above if you are acquiring a firmware that supports 2010 STI.

We will be addressing this in more detail on Monday to eliminate this temporary work around. In the meantime, enjoy using the AccessPORT on your 2010 STI!
