COBB Tuning Acquires New 2010 Mazdaspeed3!
Since its release in 2007, the Mazdaspeed3 has proven itself to be a potent performer. With just a few simple modifications, the MS3 is able to put down some impressive horsepower numbers. Coupled with a COBB Tuning AccessPORT and exhaust modifications, we have seen cars making over 350whp!
With the release of the 2010 Mazdaspeed3, COBB Tuning is able to announce that work has begun on the development of AccessPORT compatibility for this new generation of Mazdaspeed models. While still in the initial R&D and testing phases, COBB Tuning will be using our brand new 2010 MS3 as a test bed for the AccessPORT and other products. This newest Mazadaspeed3 features an all-new ECU which represents new challenges for the engineering team at COBB Tuning. Look for an AccessPORT for the 2010 Mazdaspeed3 to be available in the first half of the coming year. I’m excited too, and trying not to bite the pricier bullet with the standback due to impatience. Is this still coming out the first half of this year?
Development on this product is moving at a reduced pace due to the complexity of the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 ECU. We will make a formal announcement when we have an update!
hey guys i was wondering how progress is going with the 2010 accesport
It’s well known that the only reason why this isnt out yet is because youre dedicating more time to other platforms so dont lie to the public. COBB always pushes back release dates. It happened withthe RX8 and its happening with the Gen2 MS3.
The Gen2 MAZDASPEED3 ECU is an all new ECU. The new ECU shares nothing in common with the 1st Gen ECU so we are having to do discovery all over again. We appreciate that some users are frustrated with a lack of the AccessPORT as a tuning option, but we are working diligently to fulfill expectations of our MAZDASPEED customers.
What kind of pricing will we be looking at, fuel pump internals need upgrading afterward?

We have not yet set pricing but expect it to be very similiar to current MAZDASPEED3 AccessPORT pricing. We have not yet done a fuel pump on this car nor have we been able to test with any flashes since we are still exploring the ECU.
