COBB Tuning SoCal proudly announces that Tim Bailey, Sr. Research and Development Tuner for COBB Tuning, will be performing custom dyno tuning at the COBB Tuning SoCal facility for a limited time! Performance enthusiasts in Southern California can now take advantage of Tim’s extensive tuning experience as one of COBB Tuning’s top engine calibrators. Dyno appointments are filling up fast, so contact COBB Tuning SoCal now to get on the schedule and get the most power out of your high performance vehicle.

Tim Bailey’s extensive tuning experience spans over a decade. His tenure at COBB Tuning started as COBB Tuning Surgeline’s lead calibrator for several years, with thousands of Subarus, Mitsubishi’s, MAZDASPEEDs and Nissan GT-R tunes to his credit. Tim also served as the lead R&D calibrator for Subaru Off-The-Shelf maps and was responsible for the successful training of the current Subaru R&D calibrators. Tim currently is the Lead R&D Calibrator for all Nissan GT-R Off-The-Shelf maps, including a series of Beta High Power maps that extract the maximum available power out of the stock GT-R fuel system’s capabilities. He is also a critical part of the Nissan GT-R Expert Group, responsible for AccessTUNER Pro software and AccessPORT firmware field testing and validation.

Creating street-worthy, big-build tunes is one thing, but Tim’s racing calibration experience is equally as impressive. His motorsports efforts include top-ranked IFO Street Class and Pro Class Drag Racing, Global Time Attack, Redline Time Attack, SCCA IT, Open Class Rally and Solo2 Autocross race cars. The COBB Tuning Motorsports team dominated the 2010 Redline Time Attack championships, leveraging Tim’s calibration expertise to take both the AWD Street and AWD Modified class championships, setting 6 new track records along the way. Most recently, Tim worked with LIC Motorsports to tune their Modified Class Subaru STI using the AccessPORT’s new Speed Density tuning logic to take the Global Time Attack Modified Class win and set yet another track record at Infineon Raceway.

“Although I’ve been tuning high performance cars for over 10 years, I still find myself passionate about getting the most out of a given engine/modification package.” Tim Bailey explained. “Showing a customer the before and after dyno graphs and seeing their excitement when they feel their newfound power is hugely rewarding for me. Southern California is a hotbed of performance modification, and I can’t wait to see the diversity of cars that come to be tuned at COBB Tuning SoCal over the next few weeks!”
