Ford Updates – v503 Maps and Bug Fixes

2015_Ford Focus ST_COBB_Angle 6

The previous Ford release brought a ton of new stuff for the Fiesta and Focus ST.  Unfortunately, it also had a few bugs.  These bugs have been addressed with the v503 maps which can be had with a simple firmware update!

Firmware Updates

AP3-FOR-001: 1.7.3.0-14521

Improvements

Map switching slot notifier will no longer appear when only 1 map slot is configured. If 2 or more slots are configured, the notifier will work as normal.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue when in cruise control and using the cancel/resume button to disengage then re-engage cruise control, the map switching notifier is displayed. (Fiesta ST Only)
  • Fixed an issue affecting Catalyst Temperature Calculation, should now show reasonable values. (Focus ST Only)
  • Improved and fixed functionality of “Anti-Theft” maps.
  • Grille Shutter U0284 DTC fix for Focus ST maps.

Thanks for the Fiesta ST updates Braden!!! I just bought a Focus RS, so I’ll be needing AT for it next. The AP is already on the way to me.

Does this update fix the touchy bpv going off at any throttle variation?

Hey Joshua, this update does not address aftermarket bypass valve compatibility.

Hey Jose, you can adjust when the shift light will come on by going to the Configure Shift Light option while on the Gauges screen.

I believe this was a known issue. Try choosing the “Reset to Defaults” option or changing the Shift Light RPM to see if that addresses the issue you’re seeing.
